Both Rolando and Dominic were friendly and courteous. They were accommodated to move furniture around more than once for my mom. This is our second move with Gentle Giant and we experienced the same service with both moves.

Raul R. and Paul L. were incredibly good. They took care of all my belongings, and wrestled heavy wood furniture (e. g. heavy captain’s bed) up ~ 20 steps and through an incredibly small doorway (removing the door!) They worked for 6 hours! Kudos to the Giants! Great work!

From my initial conversation with David, who could not have been more helpful, patient and informative to my conversation with Terrence, who was also very helpful and thorough, to the two gentlemen who came to assist with the move, whose names I wish I had, my experience was exceptional. This was a challenging, move for a good friend who had lived in her home for many years. She was moving to an assisted living apartment nearby and really struggled with transitioning from her longtime home to her new home. The two movers were so polite, kind, patient and understanding regarding the emotional and challenging situation. I can’t say enough about the empathy and professionalism which they displayed, I would hire those two gentlemen for any future move.

The team was so careful with everything and they were able to make my third l-flood only-stairs move-in a breeze. Speechless!!!

Talon and team were absolutely amazing. They showed up a couple minutes early and after a walkthrough were a well oiled machine. Packed the truck in less than 2 hours, drove 2 hours and 40 minutes to Brevard, they took a very quick break to devour lunch I provided, and the truck was unloaded with a walkthrough to ensure beds and furniture were where we wanted them in about an hour and a half! Truly amazing teamwork.

My team was Michael, Kymanii & Rupert. They were experienced, professional, efficient and considerate with my things. They, and the office made the moving experience hassle free for this old gal.

Everyone I dealt with at GG during my move was terrific, from Greg C and Erin in the office to the guys who packed and unpacked my household. I especially want to mention the CA crew who unloaded the truck at my destination–Mihai, Fabiu, and Matt. These guys really went out of their way to organize boxes, place furniture, and generally help anywhere they could. They were able to bring my baby grand piano in and place it on the second floor, right where I wanted it, and it was no mean feat! They even put felt pads on the bottoms of furniture legs so as not to scratch the wood floors, and tightened up some loose parts, etc. They were friendly but very respectful, and I appreciated that so much. I will recommend GG often.

I had a team of 3, with one great leader, and two excellent adjuncts.

First of all Bambi was exceptional always considering my needs as well as providing much needed emotional support during such a difficult time. Also the four men doing all the work or outstanding despite them having to unload then reload the truck once due to my mistake with a second drop off location. Sarunas seemed to have everything and the crew under control and seem to go smooth from my point of view. I was referred to this company from a neighbor and would definitely recommend them!

Our move team consisted of Eli and Asa, and they were truly awesome. They were friendly, very personable, and seemed to be really enjoying the effort / assisting us in our move. My wife had several instructions to follow, and is typically reluctant to have people in our home; at the end of the move, and she was very happy. We will definitely ask for them again for our next move!

Scott and his team were great! I really appreciated that we had the same team lead for all three days of our move, it made things easier that he was familiar with our first home and where things that were boxed up belonged. They were very helpful in assembling pieces of furniture once we moved into the new place as well!

I’d had a terrible experience with a moving firm who packed a portion of my house so poorly I had to end their contract and start unpacking and sorting what they put in boxes only to find items damaged and things like honey and oil dripping out of boxes. This error prevented my house from listing by a full week. By the time I got the crew scheduled with Gentle Giant, And they turned around my desperate request very quickly, I just needed the bare minimum of packing boxes without destroying my belongings.
When my crew arrived, it was already obvious they were both professional and kind. I walked them through what I needed to have done – repack any boxes I hadn’t been through and pack the remaining hodgepodge of my house. The fact that my KitchenAid mixer was in the living room and my power blender was in the living room didn’t phase any of them. They loaded up our odd shaped boxes with as much care and thoughtfulness as the more consistently shaped U-Haul boxes and boxes they brought with them.
Their diligence in their work effort and watching their kindness to each other while they worked, put me at ease. This move has been particularly challenging and for them to come in and rescue such a poorly done job and help provide necessary calm.
At any point that they spoke to me or my partner about a topic that wasn’t strictly about the move, they were both engaged with a conversation and continued to quality pack at the same time.

On Sat. 9/28 I had a move scheduled w Gentle Giant. Three very well mannered men showed up at my door. They introduced themselves but the only name I recall is Scott. They first asked to see the space then we all agreed they should move the truck to the other egress. From 8 am to about 11 am. They packed and moved my furniture and I was so grateful! It was a little unclear which forms need to be completed and what the expectations were paperwork-wise.

That was more of a nitpick than a complaint. Overall I had a great experience and everyone I worked with and talked with was awesome!!!

We were treated like family. I don’t believe it can be any better than that. We felt like Gentle Giant sent us the A Team. Five for prep and pack, then six on the moving day. Sarunas was the crew chief. He listened so well (a rare quality today), so intently….he understood and communicated so clearly. And offered assurance about a few items I left out….he added in and assured me there was room. It was evident that this experienced team, starting with Sarunas, appreciate the client’s side of the experience….filled with a some measure of emotion….sadness, joy, anxiety, fear…..and each one exhibited confidence and took care with our possessions. Each man was polite, respectful, courteous, displayed a sense of humor, and was eager for the move to be a positive experience.

GG is the best. Make it look easy. Safe when parking on a slope (put wedge under wheels of course!). Super careful when moving in and out of new place, no scuffs on the walls even with large/unwieldly pieces. No issues if stuff was on 3rd floor, re-locating to basement, etc. Fast! Amazing each time.

My gosh, what a professional team! From Rachel in the office to the four guys that we had on the day of our move, it really was a lovely experience! And that’s hard to say about Moving! Rachel was very thorough and pleasant on the phone. The guys were so good with all of our furniture, very neat, even put boxes along the wall in a neat pattern versus just throwing stuff in a room! The two gentlemen who helped make my home accessible for my wheelchair bound husband were pleasant, efferent and helpful. They gave me suggestions to make the space work better.

Mitchell and Randy were very polite and friendly. I think they did a great job. I was impressed by the professionalism of the entire Gentle Giant team, from initial contact to the move. Other movers I’ve used in the past don’t compare.

Movers were quick, knew how to make everything go as efficiently as possible, and took care in moving each box/furniture piece. They had me walk through each phase to make sure they had moved everything I wanted and left anything I wanted left. At the destination they took extra time to move some of my things exactly where I wanted them and made sure everything was there.

You have the staff from the point of reservation to the day of the move. They are friendly, responsive, communicative and efficient.

The move went incredibly smoothly and completely according to plan. The team members were all incredibly courteous and helpful. They worked so well together and quickly jumped in to help one another but also consistently offered help to us as we worked to move things we were transporting on our own. Javier Buenaventura M., Tamarus D. and Conor D. particularly stood out for their excellent service and problem solving. My husband used to be in the Navy so we have worked with many professional movers and this is the first time that I have worked with such pleasant and friendly movers. We also experienced the least damage and most problem solving. There have been times in the past when the movers gave up on putting something where we wanted it because it was a difficult fit but not this time! It took all 5 movers to get a large shelf into the house and over a railing but they worked together and did it! I first heard about Gentle Giants because you did a pro bono move for the nonprofit I work for in 2014 and appreciate the ethics of the business.

We were so impressed as usual by our three movers. Warm generous capable lovely people.

Our crew, Corey, Tony and Dan moved our belongings out of our Condo with care and respect. They were all friendly and pleasant to work with. Corey took the task of packing several pieces that were a problem for me. All my furniture became wrapped in blankets and moved without any issues of damage to woodwork, walls and floors. I take pride in my home and so did this crew. Corey actually pointed out an issue with the legs on my sofa and repaired them when it was delivered. They kept things moving in a timely manner and went over and beyond expectations and were truly organized. We rented a small U-Haul van for our personal needs and the crew packed the items that could not be moved by Gentle Giant.
Our move into our new home took place the next day. Corey and his son, Tony were again extremely considerate and took away any stress one would have on moving. In setting up our bed I told Corey we would be removing the bedroom door to enlarge the space and he offered to do that for us. Tony took it upon himself to make sure he placed things right where we wanted them. Large entertainment/armoir pieces were no problem either. Corey removed the window and he and his son slid it through the window without any problems. I was truly impressed. When all said and done Corey took us through every room before leaving and made sure we were pleased with where everything was placed. We have utilized movers over the years and we are so grateful to have found such a great crew. As they were closing up their truck to leave, I noticed a planter on my lawn that I forgot to tell them I would prefer it on my porch and Tony happily moved it for me with a smile. That says it all. Fantastic job guys. Couldn’t have been better. Gentle Giant should be proud to have such caring people working for them.

Third time using you and this experience was no exception of extraordinary service. The whole crew was amazing. Danny and Jeff both stood out to me as individuals who go above and beyond. Danny was so thorough about making sure everything was done right and to my liking. I felt like I was getting the white glove treatment. Jeff came back to reinforce my bed the next day bc we had to cut the box spring to make it fit up the stairs. It makes me want to shout how great gentle giant is from the rooftops!

I was very stressed, as I haven’t moved in many years, and they made the process so easy for me. The process could not have gone better!

The move took longer than expected, but overall was good service.

They were very polite and communicative. They found damage on my furniture and notified me immediately. They tried to fix it for me to avoid more damage! (Damage was not caused by them the furniture was just old)

The entire crew seemed to be very motivated. They were courteous, respectful, friendly, and hard working. The lead person Kenny, established a repour with me from the beginning and continued with open communication throughout the entire moving process. Kenny was professional and ran an efficient operation. This was my first experience with a moving company. Gentle Giant had been recommended by my realtor. If all of your lead people are as good as Kenny, it’s no wonder you get significant word of mouth and repeat business.

Mr. O’Toole, the 3 people that made my move very easy and no stress was Andrea Lytle, Sam Bennett, the expert in grandfather clocks, I was very nervous about that item, but he and Oleksandr made it look awesome. You have a great company and the two guys that did my move should get a medal. I could not ask for two exemplary men. Andrea and I kept in contact to make sure everything went well. I have passed the word around to folks in my neighbor. I worked for Harvard University for years in the Main Yard. I used this company for many years. You have the best company that cannot be beat. This has been an exceptionally difficult time, since my mother has needed to move into a new room in the Nursing wing. Tom and Kevin did a wonderful job of packing up her belongings, and I appreciate their flexibility in adding another stop to an already full trip, especially since I added the stop at the last minute!

I had arranged this move with Gentle Giant on behalf of my young niece moving out of apartment to her first own apartment (both within Brookline, MA). At her wish, I let her handle the total Gentle Giant move — her first experience with a professional moving company. We noticed day before the move, the town had already posted notice of “no parking due to moving truck” in front of her bldg. as arranged by Gentle Giant. She informed me that the 3 movers called promptly at arranged time as they were heading to her location. They were kind, efficient, and careful with her belongings….and she remarked that it was impressive. Her items were kept overnight in truck until she got key to new apartment the next late morning. And again, next day Gentle Giant team returned with her stored items and moved everything in efficiently and carefully. She remarked that they wisely placed her many boxes in way that made it so easy for her to access the contents. (Also, she had mentioned earlier that when the building management asked about the move-in and she mentioned that Gentle Giant would be the movers, they remarked that Gentle Giant is very good and gave her immediate clearance without any questions. Gentle Giant’s Will S had kindly set up this job back in the late spring for the end August/Sept. 1 move. (We booked early to ensure we could get Gentle Giant.) He was tremendously kind and helpful leading up to the move. Terrence F and Maria B were the move coordinators. Terrence called day before to assure us that all was set and to make sure we did not have any questions, etc. And throughout, we knew that if anything, we could call the reception line and promptly reach helpful staff. It’s so obvious that teamwork is essential to Gentle Giant. P.S. Gentle Giant has been special to me since they were the movers when in 1996 they had moved my late husband and me to our first house (in Cambridge) from our graduate student apartment. My move coordinator, Jackie S., was wonderful, too, and answered all my questions right before the holiday weekend. Working with Jim C. and his team on the North Shore of Boston for what is now our third move with your company, always makes moving as painless as it can possibly be. The guesswork is taken out due to careful, precise planning. The crew is quick, thoughtful, funny, and good company. They say many hands make light work, but it’s also the good spirit of the crew that makes it not only bearable but dare I say, fun?

Christian and Matt worked quickly while taking good care of the furniture and other items. They communicated well with me throughout the move.

The crew (Ronan and Cyrus were on both ends of the move) was outstanding. On time, efficient, professional, quick, friendly, helpful…just great. Very hard workers!

Workers were very helpful and really tried to make sure everything was where it belonged. They offered to help move things around or assist with furniture once in the new place. They busted their asses.and were jogging from the truck to the home!

They were truly so fast, it was awesome, and because they were so fast it allowed me to have the rest of the day to actually unpack. I also had a tough street parking situation that they were able to handle.

Chuck was a fabulous leader and kept the team motivated and on task… even late into the job.

The DC team, under the leadership of an exceptional team leader (unfortunately, I can’t recall his name, but he was an African American gentleman with long dreads), was incredibly helpful. I would also like to commend the youngest member of the team, who spoke highly of your organization, and the two Serbian gentlemen, especially Jacques (?), who were quick to lighten the mood with a joke. Buzz (?) shared stories about his childhood in Illinois, and the youngest and probably the strongest member of the team was both affable and hardworking. The African American team member who worked alongside Jacques also made sure we were completely satisfied.

I also want to extend my thanks to the team in Cambridge, whose names I also unfortunately don’t remember. There was a gentleman from Roxbury, another from Rhode Island who rows and offered some great advice for my daughter, who also rows; a hardworking, shy individual from Ukraine who smiled when I mentioned he resembled Vitali Klitschko, the current Mayor of Kyiv; a team leader from Lithuania who shared stories about his country’s cuisine, which

I arranged this move for my son at long distance from Maryland. From my first contact with Erica G. — very professional follow-up to my initial online enquiry — to my dealings with Catherine T. — conscientious updates from start to finish — I felt very confident the move would go well. And it did. Daniel tells me that Dave and his crew were delightful to work with and entirely uncomplaining (I am very familiar with the number of stairs up to his apartment). I have previous experience moving Daniel in the Boston area. Two things that clinched my decision to go with Gentle Giant: no surcharge on check or credit card payments and arranging parking permits. You were not the cheapest but I felt well treated by your admin staff and Daniel had nothing but praise for the movers.

Chris, Jack and Ethan were prompt, attentive, communicative, helpful, friendly, and efficient. Who could ask for more? They appeared to be taking careful precautions with all our possessions, never appeared careless or inattentive, and always accommodating to any question or addition we had. Jack particularly impressed me when he said, “Once we’re on site, any problem that occurs is our problem. Your job is to relax now.” That helped me have confidence that everything would be taken care of properly.

The team of movers were excellent. They arrived on time, they were professional, capable, polite and very good at what they do. They worked together and had a system they all knew well. They were also very respectful of our property at both locations.
