Lisa in the office was professional and reassuring during the intake process. The three movers were excellent. They were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and capable. The furniture was carefully wrapped and moved accurately to two separate locations (residential and storage). The residential location is a third floor apartment and the movers handled that challenge with strength and good humor. I may not be accurate about their names but you must have a record of who worked on this job. I would certainly recognize them! I believe they were John, Tom, and Dennis, but again, please check the record to confirm. I would definitely work with Gentle Giant again.

One thing confused me – we were billed for 2 trucks but I believe only 1 truck had furniture in it, the other truck was just the 2 extra movers. One small comment to add, one of the windows in my old house was left open on the 2nd floor. My husband who was at that house said he did not open it, so my assumption is the movers did. Which is fine. But they did not close it. The guys were very nice to work with. Very polite and professional.

Paul and Erick were terrific. They arrived on time, were friendly, efficient and totally professional. The move was entirely damage-free.

Jack and his crew were the furthest thing from the stereotypical meathead mover I could imagine. They each introduced themself, were respectful, asked intelligent questions when needed, and worked with cheerful efficiency. Boxes were well-labeled and delivered to the right rooms. Unpacking has been very easy. I would not hesitate to use you again, should I ever need to.

GG lives up to its reputation. Everything is superlative, the crew introduced themselves and shook my hand upon arrival, they were always very respectful of my home and belongings. Not one thing got damaged in my move. They went above and beyond to be sure everything was set up and boxes removed and that I was comfortable and satisfied. We have used GG many times and will again, for sure.

Grand piano move with crane , they made it look routine and safe. Congenial team who kept me informed.

Moving to a smaller apartment created some challenges for us, but as usual the Gentle Giant crew were amazing at helping to solve our problems and take the stress off of our shoulders!

This is the third crew we have worked with in our move and they were polite, professional, careful with our possessions and the house, just all around great!

The movers we had deliver our items from storage did a very good job. They communicated when they would be arriving, showed up on time, and were pleasant to work with throughout the unpacking of our items. Kenneth B. was on the team when they packed up our house in Seattle before our move, and was the lead of the crew on the delivery and unpacking of our items. Kenneth is always a hard worker and we felt good to have him lead the crew. If we ever had to move items again, we would definitely use Gentle Giant. In addition, prior to the move we worked with Erik R. to coordinate the details of the move, and he was very accommodating, as he was when we worked with him on our initial move out. In addition, Maria B. was pleasant to work with as the Move Coordinator.

My movers were really nice and really helpful. Despite there only being two of them, they managed the entire 6 hour move extremely well. Nothing was damaged or forgotten.

They were extremely careful, but also fast. Very personable, too.

The crew were extremely helpful. The only quibbles are that there was one piece of wood that came off a table top at some point during storage or move. Also the crew disassembled the door opener mechanism to my house and did not put it back and I forgot to ask them to.

Amazing service and experience

this is our second time using GG, professional, informed, prepared, a pleasure to work with on all levels

We used Gentle Giants for two moves. They did a great job and have amazing customer service….which is really hard to come by these days.

The crew called the morning of the move to update me on their arrival time, packed each piece of furniture with moving blankets and/or paper and tape and loaded the moving truck like it was a puzzle. Amazingly efficient! The four movers, Matt, Chuck, Jake and Ryland, worked like a well oiled machine. Then drove the truck three hours the following day to a storage facility, unloaded and loaded the furniture once again like a puzzle into the storage unit. Those four guys turned two stressful days into two pleasant days! Thank you.

I had moved 2 years ago and used GG for the first time. When I needed to move again, I knew exactly who I wanted to move us. The three men that helped me move were awesome! They took great care with my things and helped me finish packing up. They also helped take apart my bed frame and take down curtains that I was too short to reach. They answered all my questions and were sure to be clear about what to take and what to leave. The challenge was to pack and move a delicate 4’ x4’ ceramic tapestry. I couldn’t believe GG had a box that would allow it to hang in an upright position. It wa perfect.

The guys moved us out in no time flat, and did an excellent job of navigating a snowstorm for our move-in! Absolutely stellar job.

The movers said each day they would show up between 8 and 8:30, and then appeared at 8:05-8:10 consistently. I was moving my parents and having to coordinate a lot of different events; being able to rely on them kept everything moving along wonderfully and without difficulty. The movers were friendly, communicative, and open to adjustments when it came to what was moving where. Difficult as moves are, this was a positive experience.

We loved working with Gentle Giants from initial quote request through final walkthrough. The team that did our move out was so lovely that we requested them for the move back in and they accommodated it. The guys helped me find, the entrance to the storage unit; they wrapped the items taken to the truck and they were able to back the truck up to loading dock despite many blue recycling barrels in the way. I was v impressed.

The team was great in communicating (schedule, arrival, questions) and worked diligently and professionally. We couldn’t imagine what our move would have been like if we didn’t have the team to help us move. At first we weren’t sure we needed movers because we packed up all our things and moved the boxes to the new house ourselves (leaving larger items and furniture for the movers), but quickly appreciated all the extra help as we moved to a two story house and only had the two of us for the move.

The movers were gracious, skilled and so helpful. I have lived iny house 50+ years, so this was an emotional transition for me and my partner. The movers were sensitive to this, and encouraging. They did the final stages of packing (after complimenting us on being well organized). They moved a heavy wooden bed up to our 4th floor apartment and coaxed it through a narrow hallway into the bedroom. These are skilled, creative people, and I greatly appreciate them!

Every time I’ve used Gentle Giant, it’s been a great experience — from the helpful person on the phone to the movers (who are VERY careful and respectful).

Our extended family has used Gentle Giant at least a dozen times. They have always provided fantastic, high quality service. The moving teams are fast (often running back and forth) and efficient, minimizing customer costs. They go to great lengths to properly wrap and protect and belongings. We are currently using their warehouse storage service while we do work on our townhome. The online portal that they provide allowed us to easily recall something that we needed from storage.

I dealt with 3 separate crews and all were great to work with – professional, accommodating and friendly. The office staff was responsive and knowledgeable. Due to illness and other unforeseen circumstances, I had to postpone my move date and then split it into 2 days. This was the 6th time that Gentle Giant has moved my household (twice interstate, four times intercity). Each time, the entire experience–from booking the move, making the inventory, to calculating an estimate, to the actual physical move–has been as much of a pleasure as the otherwise dreadful experience of moving can be. They arrived at my house at 8:15 am and I was moved into my new location, 90 miles away, by 1:15pm, including moving furniture from room to room within the new house.

Wow! These guys were so kind and such hard workers and were nice about the extra stuff and problems with small elevator!!!

They arrived on time, then took a tour of the house to see what was to be moved, then explained to us how they would go about it. They were efficient with each person knowing what their individual jobs were.

This is my second experience with Gentle Giant Movers. My first experience five months ago was a cross country move with two crews (one in the departure city and the other in the arrival city). The service was excellent at both pick-up and drop-off. This time the move was local and I only considered Gentle Giant. The local move turned out to be everything I had hoped because I chose Gentle Giant and not another moving company. Drew, Colby, and Alex were efficient, completing the move faster than I expected, and at all times they were friendly and professional. They delivered, both literally and figuratively, and provided the exceptional service that has long been associated with Gentle Giant Movers.

Nick H., Denys K., and Amani K. did a truly amazing job! I was impressed with their communication, team work, and the care with which they treated our things. And my goodness, did they hustle!

It’s obvious how much the movers enjoy their job and specifically working for gentle giant. I’ve moved 5 times in the last 5 years, and have used gentle Giant each time. Sometimes I have the same movers, sometimes I have different ones. They’re all great! Even when things don’t go perfectly (inclement weather, the move in location is not ready for us, the reserved elevator got stolen by someone else, whatever) the movers are patient and supportive. I couldn’t ask for more.
This specific move overlapped Charlotte’s first snow forecast in years. I was told the team could be late, and to prepare. I greatly appreciated the constant flow of communication so I knew what to expect and knew gentle giant was taking care of everything.

The only thing that was not as expected is that originally I was expecting 4 movers, it was changed to 3, and with the bad weather, I ended up with 2. They were wonderfully efficient, but the move took longer than expected. Honestly, I’d rather have 2 movers from your team, than 4 from any other.

The team we had was excellent! They packed us and then moved us as well. Professional, quick and great guys in general. They took care of our home and all the details with care. They all had a great attitude and are a true credit to the Gentle Giant team of movers.

Our move was an internal move – from one unit in a building to another unit in the same building. The entire crew was extremely helpful. They moved quickly and got the job done in less time than estimated. However, at the same time, they were extraordinarily careful in moving heavy furniture down steep and narrow flights of stairs with absolutely no damage to the furniture or to the wallpapered stairway walls. They repositioned everything exactly where we wanted it. I really can’t imagine a crew that could have done a better job!

The two men were amazing. They were efficient, organized, helpful, professional, and friendly. We were truly impressed.

The help our crew provided was invaluable. I can’t properly express how kind and professional they were.

Everything went relatively smoothly. The Firefighters team in Houston was amazing. The Boston Gentle Giant movers were also very efficient. There was a little bit of miscommunication between Gentle Giant, Firefighters, and the third party driver about the logistics (Gentle giant rep thought maybe our stuff was being loaded onto Firefighter truck, Firefighters thought it was a gentle giant truck, Driver thought he was picking up furniture pallets). Overall, crews were punctual, friendly and took care with our belongings, and we appreciate the quick delivery, especially within the holiday window. If we are planning to move again in the Boston area, we will definitely reach back out to Gentle Giant!
