Matt is a Senior Crew Chief at our San Francisco warehouse, having previously worked for Gentle Giant in Boston. He loves having a job that keeps him active and offers problem solving skills to keep him sharp and focused. His favorite aspect of working at Gentle Giant is his coworkers, who he said "make the job what it is" and are always willing to offer support. Matt's past experiences with wrestling and martial arts have prepared him well to become a Giant, as they taught him about hard work and commitment. He believes Gentle Giant is a company with constant potential for upward movement and growth. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities such as snowboarding, hiking and surfing. He is originally from Connecticut, later moved to Boston, and eventually had the opportunity to work out of the Gentle Giant San Francisco office.

Alex is the Regional Manager of our San Francisco warehouse. He loves working with the team to grow a successful office and takes pride in going above and beyond to impress customers with his team. He knows how to bring passion and energy to a team. His favorite aspect of working at Gentle Giant is working with a team and being physical, as he was a three-sport athlete in high school and played football in college. Alex’s team building skills from sports, coupled with his business background in college, makes him a great manager for Gentle Giant San Francisco. He studied entrepreneurship at the University of New Hampshire and he was elected president of the UNH Entrepreneurship Club during his time there. Alex is proud of the Gentle Giant brand and how it has shaped him to be a professional, not only at work, but in life. He grew up in New Hampshire and worked at Gentle Giant's NH location all through college and some years after. He recently moved to San Francisco to work here and is happy to have escaped the cold, long winters in New England!

When Gentle Giant opened its San Francisco office in 2011, management knew they had to find the right individuals who embodied the Gentle Giant culture of enthusiasm, excellent service, respect and teamwork, to lead the way. Rugby superstar Kenzo Hafoka was one of GG San Fran's first hires, and he has been a key factor in the office’s success ever since. Kenzo is a true Giant and states that his favorite part of Gentle Giant is “working hard with hard working people.” Outside of moving boxes and furniture, Kenzo loves spending time in the great outdoors. He enjoys camping with friends on the weekends and is always the first person tapped to put up the tent.
