The piano movers — Adam, Jack, Jeremiah, and Max (in alpha order) — are the finest piano movers I’ve ever had. I’ve moved pianos wherever I’ve lived (New York, Miami, California, and Massachusetts), but our Aug 8 move was by far the most professional, helpful, and fun! Each of them has great focus and attention to detail, e.g., having the wheels of the pianos face in the same direction; also, they move any item–furniture, rug, piano–with great care. But there’s more!

The Steinway B was on a professional wheelbase because it’s been used in the 372 concerts I’ve produced at Olin College of Engineering. They asked me if I had the original Steinway wheels but I didn’t: the wheels must have been removed by the people that installed the wheelbase 22 years ago. To solve this problem, Adam caught up with another Allston Piano Movers truck and brought 2 bags of wheels to my apartment. Jeremiah found a great set of wheels and custom-fitted them into the B’s legs.

Jack, Jeremiah, Max, and Adam attended to details before I could even mention them. They were especially helpful in fitting the 2 “dueling pianos” into a smallish/mid-size space, so that the keyboards were parallel to walls. Every time I look into that room, the Allston Piano Movers come to mind. I’m grateful to them and wish I had taken a photo of such a remarkable team. They choreograph their moves, like a ballet. Such an impressive crew!

I’d also like to thank Andrew K. for setting up the move. He gave me my first choice of dates (any other date would have messed with my work), and he held that date till I could confirm with administration at Olin. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated his working with me. He’s professional, responsive, and upbeat. In fact, everyone who helped make this move possible treated the job as if it were as meaningful to them as it was to the customer. You’re all memorable! Thank you so much!

Luke’s management of this job was simply excellent. His management of the crew and his customers was of the highest professional level. Alex was consistently thoughtful, careful, polite, professional and hard working! John and Tom were with us on day one for boxing and deconstructing. They were both fantastic! Clearly very knowledgeable, careful, considerate and professional. The team on day one set a perfect tone and level of confidence for the entirety of this experience.
Roman joined us for the loading and unpacking days. He too was hard working, helpful, professional and polite. Riley joined us on the truck packing day. The crew on day two gets extra credit for the crazy heat! Riley put his high energy to good use on that day! On move day, Farid (who was great!) joined Luke, Alex and Roman. Once again, an excellent team. They were very quick without compromising any sense of care and professionalism. Luke’s communication throughout, with both his team and clients, was excellent. We are all so grateful! You have made a difficult and costly experience for my mum so much easier and came in under budget! And thank you to Bambi and Theresa for all of the guidance pre move. You helped us prepare and put us at ease!
