Every year, families and friends gather together on the third Thursday of November to break bread and give thanks. Here at Gentle Giant, we believe that recognizing hard work and celebrating success is an important factor in building a positive work environment.
Along with others sitting down to a warm meal this Thanksgiving, we are excited to share what we are thankful for this year as Gentle Giant employees. Community Service
We are thankful to work for a company that believes that we can do well by doing good. While we feel fortunate in our ability to settle customers into new homes every day, we continually work to extend that opportunity to those in need.
Every year, Gentle Giant contributes to numerous charitable organizations, and volunteers hours of moving manpower to nonprofits in need, such as Move for Hunger, More than Words, and Furnishing Hope. Our aim is to improve the quality of life for residents of the communities in which we do business via pro bono moving and storage services and volunteerism of employees. Whether it is a lunch hour tending to our community garden and supporting Groundwork Somerville, or a holiday clothing drive to collect warm layers for Second Chances, Gentle Giant makes helping people our first order of business. Most recently, we have begun our own social media call to action for #GiantActsofKindness, focused on bringing volunteerism into our daily lives. We appreciate working for a company with such a clear value system focused on helping others.
