This month, our Brooklyn, NY movers had the opportunity to assist with Taste of Hope, a fundraiser sponsored by the American Cancer Society. As the official movers of Taste of Hope, we assisted with storage, loading and unloading, and other logistics related to the event, which took place in Manhattan.
Taste of Hope Raises Money for American Cancer Society
Taste of Hope is the American Cancer Society’s “signature culinary, wine and spirits event” and it features “some of New York’s most popular restaurants and beverage vendors” per their website. Attendees can walk around the venue and taste specialty dishes, wines, spirits and creative cocktails. Over the course of 12 years hosting this event, the Taste of Hope volunteer committee has raised over $1.9 million to “support the American Cancer Society’s mission and goal of eliminating cancer as a major health problem.”
Gentle Giant Brooklyn Movers to Assist with Breast Cancer Walk
Our professional relationship with the American Cancer Society has spanned over several years, and we enjoy playing a small part in making their events successful. Later this year, our Brooklyn Giants will also be assisting the American Cancer Society with their annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. These events allow us to reach out and serve our neighbors in Brooklyn and beyond, as our New York extension of Gentle Giant Moving Company continues to grow.
